Congressional Caucus: Nussle to attend, CEOs eligible for complimentary registration

Jim Nussle, president and CEO of CUNA, is set to attend NAFCU’s Congressional Caucus to discuss advocacy priorities and what the proposed transformation to America’s Credit Unions means for the credit union industry. Should members of CUNA and NAFCU approve of the proposed merger, Nussle will lead the new organization.

NAFCU’s Congressional Caucus is happening Sept. 10-13 in Washington, D.C. A key focus of this year’s event will be fighting back against the harmful Big Box Bailout that would extend interchange requirements to credit cards.

Mastercard and Visa have partnered with NAFCU to bolster credit unions’ efforts to raise awareness with lawmakers about how this legislation would impact the industry: Credit union CEOs can have the registration fees for themselves and one additional person from their institution covered. For a limited time – while funds last – contact NAFCU Member Services via email or call 800.344.5580 to have previous registration reimbursed or register now for free.

Nussle joins an exceptional speaker lineup – including an opening keynote discussion with Donna Brazile and former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, as well as remarks from NCUA Board members, key lawmakers and administration officials.
