Live event coverage: THINK 24 & the new PSCU/Co-op Solutions brand
Velera (formerly PSCU/Co-op Solutions) President & CEO Chuck Fagan delivers the opening address at THINK 24.
Today, THINK 24 kicks off in Nashville with nearly 800 credit union professionals in attendance. This event is the legacy conference from Co-op Solutions, which earlier this year combined with former competitor PSCU.
However, the biggest news of the week is all about brand: specifically, the new brand for the combined PSCU/Co-op Solutions organization. In the opening session this afternoon, President & CEO Chuck Fagan announced the new name and brand identity for the organization: “Velera.”
Fagan expressed that the name was born out of the organization’s goal to drive velocity for a new era, though the rollout will be phased rather than an “everything all at once” approach. “Our new brand captures our shared mission and the future direction of our company,” said Fagan. “It represents our unique ability to drive velocity and positive momentum for credit union success today and well into the future.”

- Future events: During his opening keynote, Fagan addressed questions around the future events. He shared that the legacy events PSCU Member Forum and Co-op THINK will be combined into one event next year, hosted April 2025 in Denver.
- Brand retention: Velera intends to retain the consumer-facing brands of Co-op Solutions’ ATM Network and Shared Branching.
- Sizable impact: After the combination earlier this year, Fagan announced Velera has combined revenue of $1.3 billion, serving 4,000 financial institutions with 16 billion transactions processed every year.
- Combination update: Fagan reiterated his expectation that the combination will take 24 months to complete, with Velera just four months along in the process.
- Opening keynotes: Headliners for the opening session included keynoter Peter Sheahan, America’s Credit Unions President & CEO Jim Nussle, and several members of the Velera executive team including Brian Scott, Brian Caldarelli, and Cheryl Middleton Jones.
