Think positive. These are common words we’ve all heard, thought and probably said on occasion to get out of a negative mindset. Despite their possible overuse, the words are true: your frame of mind will more often than not make you out to be a winner or a loser.
Author, keynote speaker and business and data expert Bernard Marr gives a list of phrases in a recent LinkedIn article that often lead to a loser mindset. He said, “eliminating [these phrases] from your speech will go a long way to eliminating the negative thoughts that go along with them and help you believe that you can succeed.”
Here are the phrases he chose:
- That won’t work.
- I can’t do it.
- Impossible.
- That’s not fair.
- It’s not my fault.
