MORRISTOWN, NJ (April 19, 2024) — Garden Savings Federal Credit Union, a leading financial institution with branches in Parsippany, Newark, South Orange, and Dover, is proud to announce their sponsorship of the Spring Shred Event, a paper shred fundraiser, which will take place at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter located in East Hanover, NJ.
This event is part of Garden Savings FCU’s commitment to the community and helping those in need. The event encourages members of the community to come and securely shred any documents that are no longer needed, which would otherwise be sitting at home or thrown away unsecurely in the trash. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to benefit the animals at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter by assisting in housing, feeding, and purchasing supplies for those animals seeking a home.
Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization that provides a safe haven for abandoned, homeless, and abused animals. The shelter also allows volunteers to come and help spend time with the animals or walk dogs, making it an ideal place for anyone who wants to volunteer their time. This event is also part of an employee benefit program where Garden Savings FCU’s executive team encourages their staff to volunteer and offers them paid time off for doing so. It is yet another way to show how Garden Savings FCU is deeply embedded in the community and cares about the wellbeing of everyone in the surrounding areas of their locations.

Pleasant Animal Shelter located at 194 NJ-10, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Members of the community are encouraged to participate in this event as it is a great opportunity for them to safely and securely shred any documents that contain sensitive information, which would otherwise be thrown away unsecurely in the trash and potentially used for identity theft. Not only is shredding documents important, but this is also a great way to give back to a worthy cause.
