The Importance of Monitoring the Key Threat to Your Existence

Earlier this month I accompanied my wife to the National Association of Realtors Convention in Orlando. I always find attending conferences in other industries enlightening and stimulating, and this one was no exception.
But one session truly stood out for me and revealed an important insight that every credit union leader should give some serious consideration.
It was the general session of the convention and it featured a group called AFTERBURNER™.
Following an update by the President of the National Association of Realtors celebrating industry accomplishments the lights dimmed, the sound system blared that familiar ‘whumpf-whumpf-whumpf,’ and the four huge screens revealed two military helicopters approaching.
A radio call came in over the speakers as the choppers requested permission to drop the team and the NAR President responded with an affirmative.
Suddenly a team of 10 special forces personnel rappelled onto the stage, the helicopters flew off, and the lights came up.
WOW…talk about getting the attention of the audience!
