It’s no secret the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected how consumers bank. Experts predict some of the self-service habits people have built during the pandemic such as online shopping, grocery delivery and working from home are here to stay.

But with 77% of consumers reporting they want to continue working from home – even once the pandemic ends, this means banks and credit unions will have to shift long term how they serve account holders.

How can financial institutions keep up? Invest in more digital channels, build more branches, open mini-branches with more technology, deploy off-premise ATMs.
