NCUF’s Christopher Morris Provides the Latest CUAid.coop Donations for Hurricane Sandy Relief

We are more than a week removed from the Hurricane Sandy disaster, a storm that has claimed over 100 lives so far and has destroyed the lives of thousands. Many folks and organizations are doing their part to help rebuild neighborhoods, communities, and businesses — and credit unions are at the forefront of these efforts. We invited National Credit Union Foundation’s Christopher Morris on the program to provide us with a summary of what credit unions are doing in the wake of this terrible storm. Chris also brings to light CUAid.coop, the primary conduit of donations leading to the Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts. To date, CUAid.coop has collected in excess of $135,000 in donations heading straight for the credit unions and their members affected in the areas hit. Among the many other topics discussed, Chris also provides a few anecdotes of credit unions helping members that are truly creative and inspiring. Many thanks to Chris for being on the show. Check it out when you get a chance and don’t forget to give!
