My hometown newspaper,The Greenville Newsrecently published a great article on the dining preferences of the Millennial Generation…also known as Generation Y. The article covers the restaurant industry but there’s a lot credit unions can learn about Gen Y preferences and habits.
One couple had this to say about choosing their dining options:
- They don’t eat out often
- When they do, they want it to be worth their while, and they choose their restaurants carefully
- That leads to choosing independently-owned restaurants over chains
