Involve new members early – keep them for life

Use On-boarding/Trigger Campaigns

You’ve heard it before I’m sure but we’ll say it again-The first six months of membership are vital for building customer loyalty. With just a few tips, we can show you how to use your member data to increase awareness and number of products per member, but also add to your bottom line.

Personalize your campaign using member data. In every communication, greet your member by name, direct them to their nearest branch, and the right person at your credit union to help them. Doing this helps the member become comfortable with you and erases the perception of junk mail.

A friendly welcome, birthday, and anniversary greeting will help build a personal connection. When targeting your younger age segments, share educational tools to improve finances and teach good savings and spending habits. Describe time and money-saving products and services.

You can also use member data to determine loan pay-offs, certificate maturity, and changes in transaction behaviors. These can be excellent signals your member is ready to buy, invest, has changed employment status or had a lifestyle change. Capitalize on these opportunities by making relevant, targeted offers. But don’t forget to make them an offer!

Communicating to your Indirect accounts are also another opportunity to increase awareness about your product and services. In many cases, the consumer may have only opened a share draft account to obtain the loan. Another touch point-  By adding an email creates value and another opportunity to reach your audience. Here’s your chance to create opportunity not only for you, but also your member.

Take advantage of the tools and resources right at your doorstep. Be a savvy marketer, use an on-boarding campaign and you’ll build a relationship that lasts a lifetime!
