“Champion meaningful change in the advancement and respect of women in leadership.” - Teresa Freeborn

Thank you for tuning in to episode 155 of The CUInsight Experience podcast with your host, Randy Smith, co-founder of CUInsight.com. This episode is brought to you by Allied Solutions. Allied Solutions is focused on helping clients grow their bottom line, protect their business and members, and evolve to stay ahead of the competition.

My guest on today’s show is Teresa Freeborn, former President and CEO of Xceed Financial Credit Union, as well as the Chair & Co-founder of Smash + Tess. She is also the author of, Suits and Skirts: Game On! The Battle for Corporate Power, a book designed for men in leadership positions to reevaluate how they operate and make necessary changes for women to grow in leadership positions. For years, Teresa has been working to champion meaningful change in the advancement and respect of women in leadership roles.

During our conversation, Teresa and I chat about empowering women in their careers and call on men to be partners and advocates for equity in the credit union industry. She talks about being accountable for your actions that impact equity on all team levels. Teresa shares stories and fact-based information on why women and men are part of this conversation. Teresa and I discuss the future of the credit union movement specifically when it comes to gender roles and working from home. Listen as we talk about how the credit union industry can create more equity that will boost business.

As we wrap up the show, listen in as Teresa talks about her book, her family, and being mindful in balancing her energy between everything that is important. Enjoy my conversation with Teresa Freeborn!
