Free Checking and the New Housing Bubble

I’m sure reading the headline has you puzzled.

You’re wondering what free checking has to do with the emerging housing bubble or vice versa.

It’s a stretch but I could say it’s because both are making a comeback after being down and out as a result of the financial collapse that began in late 2007.

But that’s not what motivated me to write today’s blog.

I want to share two items I recently encountered as it’s possible that many of you readers haven’t seen either one.

Both are very relevant to my recent series of blogs about free checking and the second housing bubble being inflated before our very eyes.

The first is a political cartoon from Tom Meyer that appeared on the editorial page in the Tuesday, May 28 edition of The Sacramento Bee.
